I want to maintain my anonymity here, so few detes. I am a scientist, though I spend little time in the lab anymore.

Not that kind of doctor.

Nerderies: Primarily SFF. brewing, fountain pens, computers.

One of them, Alivia, wants to go see Alex Warren with her dad in Columbus, Ohio.

If you know someone in his orbit, send it to him. If you don’t, please share this post. ❤️

As progressives, we need to live our values, not just talk about them.

That’s why mine is the only campaign (that I know of) that pays hourly workers at least $25.

But campaigns are expensive. And we need your help to show that you can pay staff a living wage AND win:

I've had this conversation with non-scientists and many just don't understand. No scientist knows all of science. We rely on peer review and consensus and trust to build opinions outside of our little niches.

Because vaccines work. Fluoride works. Climate change is occurring.

Et fucking cetera.
1. "'Trusting the experts is not a feature of either a science or democracy," Kennedy said."

It's literally a vital feature of both science and of representative democracy.

I've written a fair bit about trust in expertise as a vital mechanism in the collective epistemology of science.
RFK Jr. in interview with Scripps News: ‘Trusting the experts is not science’
