My last home had a great variety of #birds too. The delightful #TreeSparrow appeared and stayed after me buying panicum millet - ended up with 22! This little one has a love heart mark on cheek. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Siskins! 2024 was an ‘influx year’ & bird ringers caught & ringed 63,815 across the UK! This was the highest number ever recorded. 😮 Among birds caught in the UK were Siskins previously ringed as far away as Russia & the Czech Republic.

Heard there was a #smew on Urban loch near family. Took a trip through to find this Bonnie lad and his pal (female goldeneye) 👏🏻. He is a tiny bird. This is his third year returning. #bird 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Quite a distance so I’m delighted with my images. FB memory.

The bones of the leaves become the limbs of the trees.
Once they caught light, translating sun into nourishment.
Now stripped to veins, their quiet tracery remains — a fine scaffolding of strength.
What we call decay is creation. Nothing wasted.
In noticing, we hold this strength too. #Noticing

Beautiful #SongThrush in neighbours garden where guelder rose berries were available. This beautiful #bird frequents my garden daily too - there is a pair of them 🤎🤍.

It’s patience, stealth & playing stage hidden with camera to catch photos. I’m pleased with this one . (I use car too mobile hide)

GreatTit #bird at dusk last night. One of their contact calls (I’m sure) to keep in touch with flock. I’m hearing more bird calls last couple of days 😊

Little ‘Jenny’ #wren #bird flew inside house when I was feeding birds & changing water. With the help of a teatowel & very gentle persuasion (I couldn’t feel her/him so light) released outside to disappear into stone wall. #wildliferescue #saferescue #wildlife
