Back when gay marriage became legal in NYS they thought there would be a rush on the day of so they introduced a lottery system. I entered us as a joke. Then I got a phone call from 311 telling me to appear at the Hall Of Matrimony tomorrow at 10.
So I like to think The City made me get married.

I'm TOTALLY STOKED this shit is happening now but it also makes me ask why they waited until now to do this? Redistricting and redlining has been a problem forever. This is also proof that incrementalism is a sucker bet. You gotta swing for the fences instead of taking the scraps.
The Virginia Supreme Court has ruled that the state can put a redistricting plan on the ballot this spring that could add as many as four more Democratic seats in Congress.
The referendum will take place on April 21.
