Some future thinking by an historian. In the Berlin neighborhood of Schöneberg, artists #RenataStih and #FriederSchnock erected an 80-sign memorial in 1993, to remind everyone who lives here how the Nazis, step by terrible step, took citizenship rights away from Jews between 1933-1943. (1/21)

The Supreme Court's bias toward corporate interests is persistent, pervasive, and exhaustively documented.

But it is still extraordinary to hear a sitting justice bluntly call it out and castigate her colleagues for consistently twisting the rules in favor of big business. slate.com/news-and-pol...

My big takeaway from the first season of “In the Dark” is that the job of sheriff being an elected position is a huge national problem few seem aware of. And here’s another reason that’s the case.
Sheriffs are hugely important to Trump’s mass deportation plan. They’ve lately been rushing to partner with ICE.

So we really should talk about ways in which Democrats are *not* fighting back against growing sheriff-ICE cooperation.

I have a story out today on this:

And (obv) cynical and insincere. And appalling.
