There is no world in which it is normal for the president to publicly call upon his attorney general to hurry up and prosecute his political foes. It’s like the Watergate tapes but posted on social media. Let’s get a grip on what’s happening here.

The President of the United States went on CNBC today and said: He won the 2020 election (he didn’t). He has a 71% approval rating (he doesn’t). The jobs numbers were rigged (they weren’t).

I could say something funny here, but I won’t. It’s just so damn dangerous to have him in the White House.

I will be the first to say that joining the #gerrymandering movement makes me very, very queasy.

But I'll also admit that we are way, way, way, WAY past the "high road".

It isn't our morals that are on the line.

It's the future of our nation.
ILLINOIS GOV. J.B. PRITZKER (D): "If they're gonna cheat, then all of us have to take a hard look at what the effect of that cheating is on democracy . And that means we've all got to stand up and do the right thing. So as far as I'm concerned, everything is on the table."

Absolutely surreal to watch White House reporters ask Leavitt questions about tariffs moments after she and Gabbard used this briefing to baselessly accuse Obama of crimes punishable by death. We’re a sick joke of a country.

Dem Party: We are spending $20M to figure out how to talk to male voters.

Mamdani: Save your money. I have +45 favorability with male voters & +73 with men under 45. Endorse me.

Dem Party: No way dude. Now—why is our favorability is -54? Let's spend $20M on wealthy consultants to figure it out!

WTF?!? Border Czar Tom Homan claimed that ICE and Border Patrol agents don’t need probable cause to detain people they suspect are undocumented, saying they can do so based on factors like physical appearance. This is straight-up racial profiling, not law enforcement.

This is cruelty to kids.
HHS announced today they will consider Head Start a welfare program, not an education program, and will subject it to new citizenship requirements. This goes against decades of legal precedence that all children in America have a right to education. Announcement here. www.hhs.gov/press-room/p...

New in PN: The worst chief justice of all time

"American history has no shortage of legendarily bad chief justices and disgraceful decisions. But John Roberts has overseen the wholesale corruption and capture of the Supreme Court, and history should look back on his tenure with revulsion."

Rep. Andy Ogles -- who apparently lied about his undergrad major, his fake graduate degrees, his past careers variously as an economist, a cop, and an expert in international sex crimes and so much more -- says that if another politician "fudged" about his own past then he should be deported.
Ogles on Trump's big bill: "Now, ICE is gonna have the personnel and resources to come into cities like Nashville and New York and quite frankly deport people ... if Zohran fudged on his immigration forms, we may very well be deporting him. Time will tell."

Prior to 1936 the Treasury Secretary was an ex officio Fed board member and Chair. The 1935 Banking Act removed the Secretary from the Fed board (and chairmanship) and put a firewall up. Something must have happened in the preceding ten years that made Congress want to establish new rules

Of the nearly 100,000 people ICE has kidnapped since January, 8% had violent criminal convictions. More than 60% had no criminal history at all.
