If I had an agency relationship with CAA like Obama, Biden, & Harris do, I would simply end that relationship once CAA demanded a bar pay out for a booking of a guy who celebrated the murder of Renee Good

THERE ARE MANY OTHER AGENCIES THAT CAN REPRESENT YOU

"Democrats are seen as the Party of Betrayal. Republicans will screw you openly. Democrats pretend to have your back and then stab it. You should not vote GOP unless you enjoy being screwed, but voting for a Democrat feels like setting yourself up for the particular pain of betrayal."

Also, it is not lost upon us how the Democratic leadership and establishment has repeatedly failed to show up for Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and others.
Just a reminder that both Ilhan Omar and Maxwell Frost have been attacked this week.

No outrage by right-wing media or even corporate media.

Now imagine if this were done to Republicans.

The entire system is rigged in favor of conservatives, folks. The double standards are just wild.

It's not just ICE leaving Minnesota, it's stopping this authoritarian test case right here -- not just sending it to Wisconsin or Colorado or Maine. So that is my plea to the United States Senate: stop *all* business as usual.

An appropriate reaction to the federal government attacking a WHOLE STATE -- murdering, disappearing, brutalizing, kidnapping our neighbors isn't to just haggle over the funding for one agency. It's to stop all business as usual until this ends.

I'll repeat my ask to Democratic Senators here: don't vote for the DHS funding bill, yes. AND ALSO do not vote for another single thing in the United States Senate until the invasion and occupation of Minnesota ends. Don't vote to name a post office, dedicate a road, or even a procedural motion

I do not think the trump administration is planning to meaningfully off ramp much. They may do some PR manicuring here and there, but I think signs point to them maintaining their sieges and violence across the country. National attention may shift, but Trump and everyone who matters are still …

Abolish ICE says the most popular Dem in the party. The most popular politician of the moment. The guy who got 50% of the insane melting pot known as NYC to vote for him. Maybe he's got the right instincts? Who can say
ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.
Senate Democrats plot strategy as DHS standoff deepens heading into shutdown week
Two sources who were on a Democratic caucus strategy call Sunday said Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told the group the message must be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

anyway get on the horn with your Sens and Reps and tell them: nothing short of the full shuttering of ICE and DHS and criminal prosecution for everybody from Good and Pretti's murderers up through the top of the regime will be enough. you expect them to demand it loudly and settle for nothing less

"Outlawing masks" is again about the illusion of control. Think about why Democrats are okay with little kids in jail.

The fundamental problem w this “restrain, reform and restrict” package is that Ds see this as the end goal which is woefully insufficient bc at the end of the day it will still enable ICE itself to roam around and operate “the right way.”

Nothing here slashes ICE/CBP’s budget.

This seems like a great time for Senate Democrats to fold.
We are at a tipping point on ICE and immigration enforcement. The shootings are so unpopular that Trump appears to have lost his edge on both deportations and immigration more broadly. Abolishing ICE is net popular with independents. & Bovino is out! 2026≠2024 www.gelliottmorris.com/p/trumps-imm...

Adding additional restrictions to DHS that it will promptly ignore is probably the single least effective thing Dems can do right now so obviously that is what they are trying to do.
