And also, just like all fucking generative AI, this is just massive, scaled-up theft. This woman is functionally stealing money out of the KU pool from authors who are writing and publishing their own original works USING A TOOL that was itself built on stolen works.

I am sure nurses will listen to Trump’s HHS, the administration has done nothing to further radicalize the profession lately
As the CDC removes vaccines from its childhood schedule, vaccination rates decline and measles spreads, parents are trying to figure out how to keep their children safe — including, in some cases, by limiting their activities or seeking vaccinations early. I talked to a number of them. Gift link:

Kavanaugh asks if the states that *allow* trans athletes are violating the constitutional protection of womens sports. Hurst says his argument doesn't allow them to impose their rules on those states.

You know who else did constitutional protections based on states rights? Antebellum America.

The Supreme Court's Republican appointees should think long and hard about the way in which they encouraged this behavior on the shadow docket — despite Justice Kavanaugh's belated attempt to clean it up months later.

This, of course, is a further step into lawlessness. But, the go-ahead was key.
They are unlawfully detaining people for First Amendment protected activities, as far as I can tell. Dragging people out of their vehicles absent witnessing a crime and without a judicial warrant is repugnant to our constitutional order.
New video shows ICE agents detaining a US citizen legal observer in Minneapolis.

The agents smashed his car window, dragged him out, and placed a knee on his neck.

The right-wingers at SCOTUS today argue that merely allowing a trans girl to compete in sports is a great harm because we must "protect women."

But a woman exercising her First Amendment rights is a smug ....

These people don't respect women 1/10th as much as any trans woman I know does.
Fox News' Will Cain: “There's a weird kind of smugness... in the way that some of these liberal white women interact with authority”

This is getting lost: For weeks Trump officials had the option to remove Abrego Garcia to Costa Rica, but refused to do so. Instead they kept trying to send him somewhere more dangerous. Costa Rica wasn't cruel and dehumanizing enough.

This is deeply sick conduct.

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone

- tech is now more expensive
- you cannot trust most media of reality anymore
- programs barely function
- energy prices
- literal psychosis
- your voice can be literally stolen for evil
- more spyware

but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.

The anti-Semitic mass shooting in Australia will cause a national conversation and policy change. We know this because the 1996 Port Arthur massacre led to significant restrictions on guns.
The shooting at Brown will do nothing. We know this because it occurred on the anniversary of Sandy Hook.

The Take Care Clause was a byproduct of the lessons learned from the Glorious Revolution that the executive should not be able to dispense with the law promulgated by the legislature. It was not a constitutional provision to empower the executive branch— but to constrain it!
