I have zero confidence in the US administration of Venezuela. They haven’t demonstrated they can run their own country with any form of equality or even legality yet have the audacity to lecture others and invade for oil, all other reasons given are just lies to legitimise the invasion.
The US is now responsible for the governance of Venezuela. Toppling the regime of a smaller country is always the easy part. The hard part is what comes after. Neo-cons always expect a pro-US nirvana. It rarely works out. But I suppose the oil companies can seize some assets.

I know in this age of Trump what’s right & wrong no longer matters, & the law no longer matters. So I’m probably just shouting into the wind, but…what we just did in Venezuela is immoral & illegal. And it makes us no different than any other dictatorial regime that invades another sovereign nation.
