The absolute depravity, sadism, and inhumanity contained in the sliver of the information that has been released so far strains the limits of my credulity. It’s like trying to comprehend some eldritch horror that destroys one’s mind the more you look at it.
If the Epstein files feel “too dark to be true,” that’s the point.

As much as any ethical person wants to shut down ICE, shutting down the related organizations won’t do it.
FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.

Doesn’t matter. If the idea pops back into his decrepit brain tomorrow, he could be beating that drum again. The man is unfit to guard a warm cup of noodles let alone manage the security of the United States.
Trump may chicken out from following through on his most extreme threats, but his insistence on pushing self-imposed crises to the brink not only makes us less safe, but alienates us from the world. And thanks to Trump, we're probably past the point of no return.
