I'm enthralled by the great quality of the adventures that have sprung forth from The Raspy Raven organised competition.

Third Party Community Content Creation embraces all of Sanction, and I'm loving what's coming out of it.

I’ve been lucky enough to play this and run it, and had a blast both times. Recommended!
The Admiral's Compass is a short adventure for @paulbaldowski.bsky.social The Dee Sanction. Written for the Tales from the Raspy Raven competition, it's a tale set in the aftermath of the English Counter Armada.

I teach a field natural history course that’s very analog—a hand-written field journal, hands-on skill sessions, hours in nature each week. This very much tracks. My evals for that class emphasize the class’s impacts on how they think, and their mental health.

People are always rightly pointing out that Warhammer contributes more to the British economy than the fishing industry, but the problem is that there just aren't very many folk songs about Warhammer

I cannot understand what these people think the purpose of human life is?

It is *not* "pursue joy, deal justly, love well, try to understand as much and see as much of this beautiful world and of the deepness, richness and variety of human culture and experience as you can before you die"?
How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

And yet - nothing about this is on the BBC main app.

It’s hidden under Welsh news.

Nothing in the Daily Mail, Express, The Sun, The Times.

Seems like Farage’s opinions on everything make front page news EXCEPT when one of his guys admits to taking Russian bribes….🤷🏼‍♀️

Whether it’s paracetamol or something else, Trump and co are perpetuating the idea autism is wrong and disability is an individual’s responsibility to avoid. It’s anti-science but it’s deeply ableist at its core. The goal is for non-disabled to be afraid and disabled people to be ashamed.

It's has been so rewarding to run #Vaesen for the last (nearly) 4 years. I started with a couple of the published scenarios to get a feel for it, then began writing my own stuff - which the rules really support. We'll come back to it - perhaps one of the other Societies - next year.
Another brilliant game of Vaesen run by @voyager3.bsky.social in which we managed to set up spinoffs to the mythic Britain and carpathia supplements

Should be fun and insightful, a few of us have converted and run Sarah's system agnostic Darkened Hill & Dale scenarios. They are wonderful and we have all pondered how you go about writing something without a specific system in mind... now we'll find out!

Link in my bio, then look under Events.
I'm talking about writing system-agnostic TTRPG scenarios over on @jwmuk.bsky.social's Raspy Raven Discord next week – 7pm UK time, Thurs 25th Sept.

Writing scenarios to be system-agnostic can create some interesting additional challenges; join us to hear about how I discovered this the hard way. 😅
