There's so much wrong with MacOS 26, but one of the small things that constantly trips me up and pisses me off is that a shortcut to a folder on a NAS no longer reconnects to the NAS if it's been disconnected. Instead I get this completely unhelpful error.

The number of basic things broken in iOS 26 beggars belief. Put aside how unusable the UI has become in Safari or Facetime, or how slow on-device search is, and just look at how Photos fails to load the map.
Just an unmitigated disaster.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

One of the most infuriating things about living in Montgomery County has been seen the county install multiple HAWK signals, when the majority of drivers in the county barely understand red lights, stop signs or “no turn on red” or “yield to pedestrians” placards. And I say this as a driver.
