"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."

A US Navy destroyer is a weapons platform for anti-state operations. It carries things like Tomahawk missiles, which are about 18 feet long and 3,000 pounds. Destroyers—and carrier groups—are not the sort of military hardware one uses against nonstate actors like narcotics trafficking organizations.
The US Navy destroyer USS Stockdale is now 50 km off the coast of Venezuela.

America is not full. But an array of right-wing activists and commentators want to deport tens of millions of people.

For them, it’s not just about illegal immigration but the idea that not everyone can really become an American.

Already during the GWOT there were serious concerns about sharing intel and prisoners with the US, but this is a whole new level. As a reservist during that time I actually wrote some letters to politicians to highlight this, but got only mealy-mouthed non-answers back.
I wrote on the UK's reported suspension of some intel sharing with the US on legal grounds. I spoke to several former intel officials & all agreed that they could not think of a comparable case over decades. Some expressed serious concern over retaliation www.economist.com/britain/2025...

In addition to the previously reported $270k in financial assistance, Chomsky and his wife were on friendly terms with Epstein between ~2015–2017, exchanging birthday and holiday greetings, discussing politics and science, and taking multiple visits to Epstein's properties.
In 2023, Chomsky told WSJ about his relationship with Epstein: “First response is that it is none of your business. Or anyone’s. Second is that I knew him and we met occasionally.”

Epstein: you are of course welcome to use apt in new york with your new leisure time, or visit new Mexico again

My read:

* white women Trump voters think the gains they'll get from white supremacy will outweigh their losses from his male supremacist policies

* men of color who vote for Trump think the gains they'll get from male supremacy will outweigh their losses from his racism

Both groups are wrong.

I’d be interested how they know that a VPN is being used “to evade the Online Safety Act.” Yes, they can detect VPN use, but by their nature they make it hard to determine why they’re being used - and there are lots of potential reasons.
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.

“In an email from January 2019, Mr. Epstein wrote to Mr. Wolff of Mr. Trump: “Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.””

Starting to see why Mike Johnson kept the House shut down for weeks rather than allow the 218th signature to release the Epstein docs…
"In one email, Epstein told Maxwell, 'I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump.' He added that an unnamed victim 'spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned.'"

“'I have been thinking about that,' Maxwell wrote back."
