I think the presidential systems make it harder for women to win.
the funniest thing about the people who argue america isn't ready for a woman president because of sexism are also the very same people who look down on places like india, pakistan, south korea, japan, brazil, sri lanka, bangladesh, taiwan, liberia, mexico, etc. for being more sexist/patriarchal
that whole 'this country isn't ready for a woman president' line is really upsetting because it shows exactly how neoliberalism works, redirecting blame from issues of policy (or lack thereof) onto a flattened, vague type of sexism in a way that ultimately doesn't even challenge sexism!

You can ask them to make it less spicy . Indian cuisines are more diverse than few continents combined Try out south indian breakfast and rice dishes
Palak paneer and dosa are my go to. You can always ask the waiter with a look of trepidation how spicy something is and they'll usually kindly redirect you if needed.

You see, this is why I never try Indian food because everyone always talks about how volcanic it is, and my tolerance for spicy is a little black pepper. I'm sure there must be perfectly acceptable spice levels in some foods, but I have no idea what to try.
