I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

Once again, I'm out on a walk as unofficial town sorcerer. I'm on the lookout for crows, omens, and a missing cat named Moo. I've brought my trusty bag of unsalted peanuts and my hand-embroidered cap. My lower back is in pain, which is also an important part of being an unofficial town sorcerer.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

I think we should probably be pushing for state and local level legislation that actively bans “posting vital information only on Facebook or Twitter, where a lot of people without accounts will never see it.”

I cannot emphasize enough how true & real this is.
In almost anywhere on the political spectrum you ID with or major issue, there’s probably a bot/troll operation to encourage your rage and vitriol.
And how/where that rage gets directed, esp understandable rage, is what they are out to influence.

People on this app get really angry every time I point out that social media manipulation is a real phenomenon that we are all stewing in and that’s having real world consequences and I’m sure part of that is engagement farmers who do that manipulation not liking people talking about it
