Hello Bluesky! Do I need more social media in my life? No! But am I sick of No Joy in Muskville (a bit heavy on GOP sociopaths) and Instagram (ads n’ grifters)? Yes! So here I am. Enjoy this photo of my shy kitty Little Miss luxuriating in the sunshine.
Just look at the line here. Ruth Asawa delights in natural forms with such delicacy and concise observation. Life drawing that pulses with life. 🍃

Trying to break up my doomscrolling with nice things, like this tomato soup I made for lunch. That’s toum (garlic sauce) in the center, along with a smattering of herbs. I made this spicy with some hot paprika and my fave, yuzo koshu.

We need to pick up this Overton Window and throw it as far as we can. Stop waiting for shit to “be popular” and start advocating for what is transparently right.

the people of MN have been murdered, brutalized and kidnapped for weeks now and have remained *amazingly* peaceful in the face of it. lecturing citizens to not “take the bait” etc is pretty disrespectful after a point and avoids the real question: how long are they supposed to take this, undefended?
State investigators have been on the scene in North Minneapolis.

I know you’re angry. I’m angry. What Donald Trump wants is violence in the streets.

But Minnesota will remain an island of decency, of justice, of community, and of peace.

Don’t give him what he wants.

Ok, another @visaforviolet.bsky.social gem: Warped Reality, Volume 2, issue 1, Spring 1993. I'm 99.5% sure that the interview with His Name is Alive in this issue was conducted at the Pyramid NYC show I attended with her! I met Ivo that night! But I was a dumb kid in great awe and acted like it.

It's worth your time to call Hilton to cancel your account with them. 1-800-446-6677. Here's why:

They asked me if it was because of the ICE thing. I said it was. Then they suggested I wait a couple days to see if they were going to change course.

The pressure is getting to them. Let's keep it up.
