NEW: ICE has a plan to lease offices across the US as part of a secret, months-long expansion campaign.

Today, @wired.com is publishing dozens of those locations. Many are near schools, medical offices, and places of worship.

Vital work from @leahfeiger.bsky.social that I'm proud to publish.

The Trump administration is deporting a Christian minister back to the country that tortured him, which seems like the kind of thing the Religious Right would care about if a dirty Democrat were doing it.
“I followed the rules. I’ve done great in the community. I’ve never abused any of the conditions of the stay or of my supervision…I’m so scared, I cannot go back."

ICE brutally detained a minister in Vermont. Now, the Trump administration wants to send him back to Uganda, where he was tortured.

On October 14, the Trump administration murdered six people when they bombed a civilian boat in the Caribbean.

We’re suing on behalf of two of the victims’ families because the government must be held accountable.

As much as we want to rip them a new one for getting us into this mess, when people on the right come forward and apologize and admit they were wrong, we should probably welcome them to the light.

There should be no American history book that makes it pass the censors either.
I do want to shout-out my fellow sociologists, who have collectively created a discipline so woke that not a single one of our introductory textbooks can make it past Florida's censors.

Great work everyone.

Plausible
I suck at pop culture and so don't know abt Brett Ratner or even his famous movies.

But it seems relevant to discussion of his ties to Epstein that the movie sort of arose out of effort to push back on Epstein-thru-Wolff claims that Epstein fucked Melania first.

The problem with satirizing the right is it's too easy—as with the Colbert Report—simply to become yet another wretched purveyor of hurtful bullshit while claiming it's a parody.

This post isn't a pitch but a gleeful attempt to beat other assholes to cause pain to grieving friends and fans.
Waiting for Epstein

Bari Weiss is more Scarlett O'Hara than Catherine O'Hara, and she'd be home alone if not for turning CBS into SEC TV to aid a mighty windbag named DJT. But Bari's best in show can't save Donald from being up Schitt's creek if those Epstein docs get un-redacted.
