Reform supporters with unrealistic expectations won't accept this, but it's very good news.

My 'Read of The Day' .

Mainstream liberal governments like our own must now attack Trump and his MAGA movement cancer that is spreading to Europe.

The Trump administration is creating a "slush fund" to turbocharge MAGA groups in the UK and EU, according to the FT.

This is code fucking red for democracy.

Donald Tusk's government showing how to go after populist crooks.
Keir Starmer should take note and go hard on Farrage and friends, we all know he's bent!
A Warsaw court ordered the arrest of former Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro last night, a move that could exacerbate a diplomatic dispute between Poland and Hungary.

Fucking hell 😡
A video shared on President Trump’s Truth Social account depicts the Obamas as apes.

Humanity in politics 😳 ... just now imagine The Donald attempting to pull it off🤮

Another good reason to be thankful that the idiotic Andy Burnham has been put back in his box, for now.

American maga aligned propaganda machine attacks European values
I hate the feeling of having our way of life under attack and the helplessness we seem to have about responding.
Remember the controversy when Obama was accused of intervening in UK politics? This is the current US government openly seeking to undermine liberal democracy in Europe.

This raises the question whether Trump simply forgot that he already did this some time ago. Before Farage convinced him to take the opposite view only for Starmer to convince him to go back to the original view /1

It is the equivalent of The Traitors in the turret realising that The Faithful are desperate for blood and turning on the member of the cabal that has the "most heat" on them. It doesn't make that person less of a Traitor. But its primary function IS TO BUY TIME AND SPACE for the other Traitors. 2/2

Mandelson’s always been shifty, though we didnt know the full extent.
Farage is fully shifty out in the open! Racist, lazy, selects traitors, sexist & racist candidates, umpteen lucrative 2nd jobs, dodges interviews but does cameo videos. Just grotesque, yet there isn’t 1% the furore Starmer faces!

Too stupid to know he’s stupid. A prime example of Dunning-Kruger, like many of his followers.

The UK Security Vetting has been broken for a decade.

The 2023 National Audit Office made that clear.

After 14 years of Tory austerity, the level of hollowing out of the UK state is much, much greater than people realise.

This quote from a Reform UK councillor sums it up beautifully. Cross-boundary moral outrages, exported online and sold (especially, but not exclusively) to generations that grew up before the internet, are such a central feature of radicalisation today. www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/ne...

I would say to the 'usual suspects' Labour back bench despicables.
It's all about the bigger picture of national renewal, it's a difficult and painful journey.
I'm in!
The PM will give a speech today about community renewal, tolerance and social cohesion, linked to the new Pride in Place programme. Thread from our @sundersays.bsky.social here with more details: bsky.app/profile/sund...
Keir Starmer is going ahead tomorrow with his speech on community cohesion & national renewal: this includes announcing extending the Pride in Place programme to 40 more places. Sky News reports some of the themes of his speech, released to the media

America has some superb press titles, I suspect it's soon going to be 'game over' for many of them unless Trump/Vance somehow, whilst holding hands, fall under a bus.
A staggering statement from former Washington Post editor Marty Baron: "This ranks among the darkest days in the history of one of the world's greatest news organizations."

This isn't on. Quoting academics without their permission sounds like an endorsement. And that's not a political point - it's just common decency.

And don't quote me on that.
Just a quick note to @greenparty.org.uk and @greenpartyhan.bsky.social - I was not consulted on being quoted on your leaflets and I have not endorsed your campaign (or any campaign in this seat). I think this note, like the bar chart next to it, is misleading and out of context.

Can't see how any of this is important enough to jeopardise all the good stuff the government is doing.
I have no opinion about Morgan McSweeney, but as a general point, I never understood why the publicly-sacrificing-my-top-aide-stunt should impress anybody, or clean this mess up, frankly.
UK politics is far too obsessed with the "evil advisor” anyway.
Keir Starmer: "Morgan McSweeney is an essential part of my team. He helped me change the Labour Party and win the election. Of course I have confidence in him."
