The embarrassing capitulation of the EU on trade and energy in the summer, followed by the humiliating U-turn of the EU over tech regulation in the autumn didn't even buy us goodwill from Trump to make it to the spring.

A lesson for appeasers.

Rogan has like 3 of these revelations a year but then he gets distracted by an AI video of a screaming black woman he thinks is real
I suppose it’s nominally good median brained Americans are waking up and I’m not sure how best to navigate how graceful to be towards people who want to walk back enabling this (an important conversation for the near future), but for now: yes you fucking rube. That’s exactly what we are
Joe Rogan criticizes ICE tactics: 'Are we really going to be the Gestapo?'
The influential podcaster, who endorsed Donald Trump in 2024, has been increasingly critical of the president’s mass deportation strategy.

My most unhinged take is that we should get nukes. Germany should get nukes. Italy should get nukes. Britain should get more and better nukes. For god’s sake, Poland should get nukes. (Not you, Spain.) Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Polisci hivemind help me out: a few years ago, I remember reading a job market paper (?) by a junior scholar (?), which looked at "the other side of racial spillover", basically expanding Tesler to argue that US white racial liberals support more certain policies when these are associated with race.

Deeply unpopular opinion: Europe's "watching with concern" response is actually fine. If we want Europe to be engaged in power politics - as opposed to the politics of grand statements - we should recognise what is in its immediate regional remit and interests (Ukraine) and what is not (Venezuela).
