The Indigenous People of North America have decided to go back to calling the Gulf of Mexico, “Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl”. It is what the Nahuatl People originally called it as it is the domain of the goddess Chalchiuhtlicue, who is assoc w/water bodies, including the Gulf of Mexico.

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

The United States Military Academy has just eliminated all Cadet clubs and activities for POC. Most of these have existed for decades like the Society of Black Engineers. They were there when I was a Cadet in 1987. All of the religious ones remain. This isn’t DEI. It’s white Christian Nationalism.

My chronically ill ass has continued to mask indoors since 2020. I may have GI issues but you know what I haven't had this whole time? Covid. No colds or flu or anything else either. And I've flown to see family a few times. I know they're not foolproof but my friends who don't are sick constantly.
Wearing a mask can be like wearing glasses, shoes: an item that protects & thus enhances the way your body functions in space. Like glasses & shoes, you need to find the ones for you— sized to hit at the right spot, that doesn’t pinch or rub, & ofc that matches your vibe!
