Look, I'm not necessarily a fan of Big Corporate 'Pride', but it is not a good sign that businesses seem to be 'complying in advance' with the idea they should not support LGBTQ+ community even though the message is only coming from the RW media. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
National Student Pride to end after reduction in sponsorship
Organisers say sponsorship has dwindled over recent years, meaning this weekend's event will be its last.

Just showed our son 'Cypher' - reminded me what an awesome film it is. I couldn't believe how little $$$ it had been made for when I saw what the budget was after my first watch. Such a great tight, twisty film - an underrated gem. Son loved it! youtu.be/J8gCiKheJtQ?...

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

You’re not overreacting,
you’re not stupid,

I find it fascinating how enraged RW America is against women who stand against ICE - women, especially affluent ones, are supposed to sit cosily behind the 'protection' of patriarchy and concentrate only on home and family

For those of you who grew up after 9/11, we got along just fine without a Department of Homeland Security for 212 years.

The DHS was formed to try to prevent future terror attacks — now, it is orchestrating them.
Never reactivate it.
BREAKING: The Department of Homeland Security shuts down as the White House and Democratic leaders continue to discuss changes to U.S. immigration enforcement.

Fantastic post on the realities of being a trans person and why childhood social transition matters
I know cis people don't realize the cruelty, so with gentleness and empathy for them, let me try to explain.

Being trans is difficult. Instinctively, you already know this because you think it would be better not to be trans.
“We would expect support for full social transition to be agreed very rarely”
There you have it, the gov wants trans kids to rot in the closet
