If Dems want to help dig us out of this mess (it sure seems like the Surrender Dems don't), they must make themselves into an anti-corruption party. Stop trading in stocks, overturn Citizens United, boot corporate Dems, embrace the country's appetite for populism and put people above corporations.

it requires time and effort and money to coordinate ILL requests, to pack books and ship them, and to process and keep track of loans.

and it requires mutual trust.

ILL is such an extraordinary example of the goodness of mutuality that I remain a little astonished that it exists.

I’ve been saying this to myself and people in my sphere. They keep handing wads of cash to a certain person, why not feed people?
Maybe I'm a big dumb dingus but I've never understood why, even for purely selfish reasons, none of these mega-billionaires spend the gigantic sums of money they spaff on space shit or AI on world hunger. Surely, even for an amoral cunt, being the guy who did that would trump building some rockets.

I’m going to say about 7 million people funded these protests- with their time, their bodies, their energy, their supplies, and their transportation costs
Ernst: "I think it is extremely important that we look at who is funding these protests. We have to get to the bottom of this. It could be the usual suspect -- George Soros."

I keep saying and thinking what Cheryl did here, only not nearly as well
I keep thinking that it would be much more effective and legal to stem the demand for drugs.
In fact, the US is not exercising its right of self-defense.

There has been no armed attack nor threat of an imminent armed attack on the US. Drug smuggling doesn't count.

And so far, USG has not sent an Article 51 letter to UNSC.

(Also, deadly flow of drugs to US ain't coming from these boats.)

This is absolutely heartbreaking. This man should not have been murdered. His children should still have a father. His wife should not have to tell people her trauma.

This government is committing war crimes.
I think the Trump admin assumed no one would try to find out who the people on the boats they blew up really were

Kind of wild, given all the things it does, that we call the thing we’re holding right now a phone. Could call it a flashlight or a newspaper an encyclopedia or a porn machine, but no: a phone. Also if you call me I will hurl this thing across the room before I pick up. But: phone.
