That almost feels like trying to work out the random assortment of words about a dream one might try to decipher in the morning. Not quite enough info, brain!

When I encounter those on my read list, I’ll look at the summary and every time say to myself, oh! That one. That was a good book. But it doesn’t stay in my head and I repeat the same thing over and over

Menopause, being over 50, and the horrors are my excuses

Misread it the first go ‘round as Meatball Gizzard and hey, that’s alright too

Personal life: we always pay our dental bills by credit card (for the cash back) and my son just had some crowns that cost a pretty penny. We were charged $60 for credit card fee with a note on the receipt saying they charge 2.8% surcharge to cover costs of accepting credit cards. This is new!

Gorgeous!

I love this for our patrons and I love it for me!

Eerily familiar as I had a patron printing and copying materials for a court case this week say they couldn’t have done it without AI help.

I’m loving the backgrounds that really accentuate the pigeons!

Reading Ew, It’s Beautiful : A False Knees Comic Collection by Joshua Barkman @falseknees from my local library. Having a chai and corn muffin with. Can confirm at least one out loud guffaw has occurred in the first 25% read so far!

If Dems want to help dig us out of this mess (it sure seems like the Surrender Dems don't), they must make themselves into an anti-corruption party. Stop trading in stocks, overturn Citizens United, boot corporate Dems, embrace the country's appetite for populism and put people above corporations.

it requires time and effort and money to coordinate ILL requests, to pack books and ship them, and to process and keep track of loans.

and it requires mutual trust.

ILL is such an extraordinary example of the goodness of mutuality that I remain a little astonished that it exists.

I’m also a fan of heated seats. I wish I had them!

I had a Douglas Squirrel hitchhiker in my car for a couple weeks a few years ago. A coworker pointed out a little face was peeking out the wheel well and I could only hope ki was back on the bus when I went home. Spotted them on errands and other days at work both off the car and on!

There’s a wide area near the Nabisco plant in NE Portland that smelled of cookies on some days. Just the general sweet baking smell, not a specific product. I lived about 2 miles away. No idea how far it extended or if the Mondelez plant still bakes the same thing(s)

Yeah, I had to nope out of that dream and feel sad while fully conscious instead 😢

Maybe visited by the ghost of my cat who died last May for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Dream time but not a dream, if that makes sense. None of the weird dream stuff - all reality except his presence. Maybe he came to comfort me, but I just felt heartbroken when he walked away.

Yes. Very strange furnace shenanigans in my old house (furnace OFF, pilot light OUT for the season in May, turns on by itself in August. Entirely inaccessible location in unfinished basement!) Happened twice in different years. Theory: someone died cold.

Oh, I dream of the only ISPs local to me realizing they’re losing $$$ to Starlink. They’re like, “You’ll get max up to 3 mbps, and you’ll thank us for it!”

That was a fabulous tip. I changed it and immediately felt better about the whole thing. Of course, the last two days I was in a work situation where I had to ignore my phone and the same two health care entities wanted to call repeatedly and leave messages. Then the befuddlement!

I try to adapt, generally, to change, but for my own sanity I am going to have to select “classic.”
