A city council member was carjacked sitting in his car talking on his phone near Lake & Portland. Let it be a reminder to everyone in Minneapolis: carjackings shouldn’t happen but they do. Don’t raise your risk by sitting in parked cars talking on the phone/not paying attention to your surroundings.

Jeff Epstein? The financier?

It’s so rare to have a decision on literally anything by this administration that makes sense. I almost don’t believe it’s real.
The American penny died on Wednesday in Philadelphia. It was 232. The cause was irrelevance and expensiveness, the Treasury Department said. Nothing could be bought any more with a penny, as the cost to mint the penny had risen to more than 3 cents. nyti.ms/48bFd5K

There’s no way Trump will get away with it this time!

(He will very much get away with it this time)

Perfect fit with the Twins. Potential star whose career fizzled out due to injuries.
The Twins are hiring Grady Sizemore as their outfield/baserunning coach on Derek Shelton’s coaching staff.

Sizemore spent the last two seasons on the White Sox’s staff, including a 45-game stint as an interim manager. www.startribune.com/minnesota-tw...

Pretty cool to see all this interest in the Minnesota history textbook for my class tonight.

Had a normal work day today, the most glorious normal work day in a long time because a week ago I was convinced I’d be on a picket line.

Want to make your job seem better? Go on strike for 3 weeks to learn how much that sucks and then avoid a strike 3.5 years later. Your job will become awesome.

If you’re into Goose and considering going to any of the shows, go to St. Augustine but fly into Orlando not Jacksonville. It’s an hour further away but look at the car rental rates:

People are pointing out that the song The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald took some liberties with the details.

So does Stacy’s Mom by Fountains of Wayne. She apparently did not actually have it going on.

In both cases, we’ll all survive these inaccuracies. Get over it.

Billy Strings does a mean Edmund Fitzgerald cover if you’re into such things.

Gonna go out on a limb and say if McDonalds wants Jason Alexander for another ad, he’s probably available.

TC Media Now just dropped video of a pregame and beginning of North Stars-Oilers game from 1985. Worth watching the first 5-6 minutes at least. Some younger versions of some very familiar faces on the pregame and call of the game itself.

I can’t recall a series pilot with as much buzz as Pluribus in ages, maybe ever. I renewed my lapsed Apple TV subscription to see what all the fuss was about.

Just finished watching pilot

Phish Radio is playing the Alpine show from Sunday 6/21/09, my 8th show. I had started grad school that week and missed the first day because of Bonnaroo. Missing my 8am class the next day wasn’t an option, so I drove all the way back to Minneapolis after the show.

Pro-tip: don’t do that. It sucks.

Waking up today with a tentative agreement and no strike is better than Christmas morning.

Correct. I cringe every time someone comes to Minneapolis and does a Purple Rain cover. It’s so incredibly cliched at this point. Prince has a big catalog. Do something else!

Not often an act can pull off coming out and having 17 of 25 songs in their show be from a new album without completely losing the crowd but when you’re Jeff Tweedy and you just put out a ridiculously good TRIPLE album it actually works. He clearly was feeding off his extremely young band too.
