He was allegedly choked to death by a guard during a "struggle" after he refused to enter a housing unit without his medications.

This is a good point and it's applicable to dynamic with the Democratic Party and our broken politics generally.
If they want their voters to buy into the idea that everything that is broken can be fixed via existing institutions, they need to offer a compelling argument for how that could happen

this is not a party gearing up to even pare back funding, let alone abolish ICE. I cannot stress enough that it'd be cleaner and easier to just get rid of every last one of them via primary than try to figure out which is worth saving
