This is me. I grew up in a Republican family but have voted Dem since 1992, my first election. I was a fairly moderate liberal and have moved further and further to the left since I watched Newt Gingrich shut down the government the first time--when I was an intern at the Smithsonian./1
You know what stories I would like to read and hear about?
People who have been pushed even more to the left/progressive/ Dem socialist side after the last several years-- and after everything happening with the Dem establishment now.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with this vote from my senator. Who's going to primary him next year if he doesn't FINALLY realize his time is in the past.
There is very little about this CR that I like—but there is even less I like about a government shutdown. With Trump & Musk taking a chainsaw to the government’s workforce & illegally freezing funding, the last thing we need to do is plunge our country into further chaos by shutting down the govt.

A group of uncleared, unvetted, civilians have gained access to all of my federal records including military personnel, retirement and disability. They are reportedly feeding them into AI. I want them arrested and charged with federal crimes.
