Desperate attempts at wit and acceptance - @TonyTimes2 on the bird place

On Twitter I made a thread where I watched and commented upon every episode of #DoctorWho.

Over the years I've bought a surprising amount of #BigFinish audio stories and can't keep track of them. So I'm going back to the start and listening to them. I apologise in advance
How can you put something on a postcard for ‘this afternoon/evening’? No way you’d know when it’s read

Yeah, a thriving live wrestling scene that I could go to every fortnight has kinda ruined wrestling on telly
live wrestling is the most fun wrestling in the world. you can’t heckle your favorite heels at ringside from your couch but you can heckle them from the 200s if you’re loud enough

I always feel like this part of the story gets overlooked for the more dramatic part
I don't know how Brian Harvey ate three jacket potatoes that time. I've just had two and I'm completely stuffed.

“The BBC is not an American broadcaster, and it doesn’t owe any obligation to shareholders determined to close deals and make profits. Its clash with Trump is a chance to show the advantages of being a public broadcaster by standing up for the truth. It should seize that opportunity.”
The BBC was right about the Capitol riots. In a sane world, Trump would be in jail
Trump faced impeachment over the riots, and in a world where Republicans had more courage, he would have been found guilty

What kind of national good could come from investigative journalism, after all(?)
RTÉ's in-house TV documentary unit is to cease production next year as part of changes at the broadcaster.

The broadcaster maintains this will not lessen its output and these staff will be re-assigned across RTÉ.

As a non-American I’m glad this New York election is here because I feel like it’s been going on for a year. Why is the ‘home of democracy’ so shit at organising a fucking vote

British Sausage Week is (and rightly so) a big deal, and I think we should also salute Noddy Holder’s efforts to promote it, beginning with this homage to the Grange Hill opening titles

I'm not above rolling my eyes at this kind of ignorance, but at the same time I like to think it's nice that an actor can mean wholly different things to different generations.

This is especially true of very legit theatre actors and stand-up comedians who used to get bit-parts on CBBC programming
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”
