Mandatory two-person train operation isn't just terrible policy. It's also evidence of the exact sort of corruption we need to expunge from New York government.

I vehemently dislike Hochul, but Delgado is not signaling that he'll be a great alternative.

Bruce Blakeman, the likely GOP nominee, has also backed 2PTO to try and peel off some union support from Hochul. Anyways, if you're looking for evidence of longstanding bipartisan Albany practice of trading jobs for union endorsements... I can't think of a better recent example than this.

It's the "not just x (emdash) it's y" trope made famous by chatgpt 🤡
The Delgado tweet: "New Yorkers deserve safety as the standard on every ride. Two-person crews on our subways aren’t just common sense — they’re essential."

A pretty transparent play for the TWU endorsement.

There goes the pro-transit vote 🚽
Lt Gov Anthony Delgado, who was stripped from most of the perks of his office after launching a long shot primary bid against incumbent Gov Kathy Hochul, comes out in favor of mandatory two person train operations after Hochul's veto.

Well, this is desperate of Delgado. Definitely not voting for him if he's going to harm the MTA's fiscal outlook

Antonio Delgado isn't going to be the Democratic nominee for governor, let alone the next governor of New York, and I am beginning to question the political astuteness of anyone endorsing him now.

Genuinely crazy how 2021-2024 Hochul is one of the worst Dem govs and 2025 Hochul is one of the best

I really wanted the former to be a bigger factor here but man

Hochul has stepped up.
I'm kinda impressed with her trajectory.
She was forced to jump into the fray during utter chaos and has managed to keep her head.

18 months ago I was begging Delgado to primary Hochul, but now I’m going to proudly vote for Hochul.

Delgado’s biggest flaw is that he’s failed to do anything other than define himself as “not Hochul”

when Hochul was bad it was a good strategy, but now that Hochul is good it’s a bad strategy

as if on cue, Delgado comes out in support of a nonsensical two-person train operation mandate that would increase operational costs and reduce service. what a joke.

also this tweet syntax screams chatGPT
