I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Archaeologist here. For 99.5% of human history (ca 300-400,000 years), we were peaceful (no war). There was conflict and smaller scale violence, but countless studies on the 119 known modern hunter gatherer groups show cooperation, negotiation, and peace instead of conflict. Please read books.
Revenge/physical combat was how people settled things for literally millions of years, it's normal human behavior, we're wolves not sheep, the government project trying to social engineer us and domesticate us into sheep has been unsuccessful

For coming from a party that loves to crow about supporting small business, Trump’s cuts to the ACA are the biggest attack on small business people imaginable

We cannot go back to pre-ACA. We cannot go back to per-existing conditions and carve outs. We cannot go back to people having to use the ER as their primary providere b/c they cannot afford to see a PCP. I was there. I was managing benefits during all of that. People suffered, deferred care, died. I
Dems, do not let GOP dampen the momentum from the elections by conning you into voting for this plan to re-open the gov.

They aren't going to vote on ACA in the future, they will destroy it and federally ban abortion.

Don't be complicit.

which one is your favorite? Keep in mind NASA does WAYY more science with these images and data. NASA is absolutely valuable and goes so beyond anything citizen scientists can do! B-ROLL CRED/ Ellion ...

This is the correct explanation of what happened tonight👇
KBJ threaded the needle thanks to CA1’s unfinished business.

-if she denied the admin stay, the full SCOTUS woulda stepped in to override her.
-if she immediately referred the case to the full Court, they coulda dragged feet.
-instead she boxed them in to act quickly once she does refer the case.

I don't know what will happen in NYC tonight, but I do know that regardless of outcome, any number of public figures, celebrities, politicians and institutions that oppose Mamdani have done so with a level of rhetorical ugliness, racism, and dishonesty that should neither be forgotten nor forgiven.
