He's bad. Everyone sees it now, right?

Just gonna show this chart to everyone that complains about Joe Biden not dropping out soon enough or whatever.

America is a country full of obnoxious dipshits that have very strong opinions about things they know absolutely nothing about.
The 2024 Data Don't Lie:

The only issue voters can clearly associate with the modern D Party is support for gay rights.

That's it.

Voters are 50/50 on which party is on SS and Medicare.

Yes, really.

That's why we need to leave pound them on the economy and critical programs like Medicaid.

The reason is that the people who bridle under that order are puppeteering our dying old man President.
It’s genuinely wild that the United States spent decades building an elaborate rules-based international order which de facto cemented its permanent status as the dominant global hegemon, sustained by ideology rather than might, and now is just blowing it all up for literally no reason

The first year of Trump’s second term has done significantly more damage to our position on the world stage than all four of his first put together.

This website when Jeffries says something they like: fuck you
Jeffries: "The Constitution isn't a matter of inconvenience. It is a requirement. George Washington in his farewell address to the nation made clear that the Constitution is sacredly obligatory upon all. That means everybody. There is no Trump exception."

War game in the style of Papers, Please

You're a staff officer charged with wrangling NCOs, processing (possibly faulty) intelligence, and managing requisition requests for more ammunition (there is no 155mm in this sector, they gave us drones that don't work)
leaning into something that includes more of the drudgery of military life from a role-playing perspective and has less emphasis on twitch action violence could possibly reinvigorate it

While true, it doesn't go very far. Trump's "run the clock" strategy fails miserably absent the (er) timely intervention of the Roberts Supreme Court.
A big part of why we find ourselves in this predicament is that the Biden administration was so terrified of anything that might be *perceived* as political retribution that they treated obvious criminals with kid gloves and slow-walked the process to the point that Trump was able to run the clock.
It's also a reminder of what *should* have happened to Mike Flynn, who should have been stripped of his rank and tried under UCMJ guidelines.

But only one party is concerned with "looking political."

we need a new rawlsian thought experiment but this one needs to be a thought experiment about "could you explain this action or post to a normal person on the street"
I still don’t understand Stancil and I don’t know anyone irl who even knows who he is. That’s all I need to know that he is probably some toxic, weirdly online phenomenon that I should avoid at all costs

Four generations of my family have served our country. Service is in my blood. The President wouldn’t know anything about that.

I mean this is the central problem in politics?

The coalition for "I hate this, let's burn it all down" is usually larger than any constructive coalition.

It’s time for today’s game of “is this appalling thing the President just said even true or is it just a neuron misfire or a manifestation of his pathological need just to say whatever shit he thinks will make him look cool and tough”

Am I reading this right? Is the Secretary of Defense punishing a sitting Senator, Gulf War veteran, and astronaut having a letter put in his permanent file?

The "Noriega Precedent" is actually:

Allowing the President of the United States to do crazy bullshit to a guy no one likes is bad, actually.

New in PN: Trump's Venezuela coup sends America down a dark path

"As Elizabeth Saunders said, 'we have the foreign policy of a personalist dictatorship' — and the dictator’s preference is watching TV shows in which the military blows things up at his whim. What could go wrong? We’ll soon find out."

okay so here's a different graph that is interesting. if we look at negative sentiment posts by the age of the account, there is a significant uptick in negative sentiment posts coming from "elder" accounts. this chart here is looking at the past 3 days.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

Can't help but feel like this is one of the reasons why the Constitution says If a dude in office does an insurrection, don't let that motherfucker hold office again

Bc clearly they cannot be trusted with power & control over the levers of government, & they do not care about democratic constraints

They’re against democratic legitimacy, which is premium-grade legitimacy; but they’re against nationalist legitimacy, communist legitimacy and even royalist legitimacy. They want to rule unaccountably, and they are opposed to any theory that could hold them to account.
