Or, you know, alternatively, you could do the job a lot of people worked really hard to elect you to do, that they depend on you to do, instead of lecturing those people about their (extremely justified) anger and their desire to do something with it.

This fucking sucks! You fucked up! Own it!
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

“Donald Trump and his MAGA allies fought tooth and nail to starve children instead of working across the aisle to bring down your healthcare costs”

Say it with me roughly 5 billion times until next November

The NY mayoral election shouldn't really be a referendum on anything national, but I can't help but see it that way when the choice is this existential or this stark: a guy who stands for the idea that politics can still help people vs a guy who stands for nothing but power and no one but himself

So much of this can be solved with “wow is that about you in any way? No? Cool. Mind your own fucking business.”

This what the conservative people I grew up around claimed to want: for the government to leave everyone alone to live their lives.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

Maybe today is not a silver bullet or a tipping point. But today is a day where someone who is afraid to stand up but wants to has that opportunity, who doesn’t know what to do, but they’re mad and tired and want something more than this. We can go today to help them stand up straighter.

I haven't seen any of the accounts people are talking about (yet, I guess?) and I am choosing to view that as this website working the way it is intended to (i.e. "we just use the nuclear block, that's what it's for")

I am so tired of this profoundly ignorant person being this in-charge, it is an intolerable condition that has been imposed upon us that we do not fucking deserve

I don't know that it is the *biggest* problem with Right Now, but I definitely think the most annoying problem is people in positions of power and prestige asserting that Things Happened based solely on vibes

This is confirmation of something I didn't totally know how to put it into words: when given the choice between just doing regular government stuff and doing a crime, they are choosing to do a crime.

And like - kind of just because they can?
so the president just tweeted out an offense worse than watergate, we all realize that right?

These people are targeting food service employees who already deal with so much bullshit in the course of their workday and I simply do not have words to express how angry this makes me, leave the people at Starbucks alone, they don't get paid enough for this shit
Starbucks says surveillance clears an employee who’d been accused of writing “Loser” on a cup when someone ordered Charlie Kirk’s “favorite drink.”

The accusation was originally posted by a Republican party official. It forced the store to shut down for safety.

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".

Remember when a government shutdown was a totally unacceptable nuclear option and not, like, the cost of doing business?

I have to say “more alive than ever” is uhhhh not my takeaway from any of this
Trump is now fundraising off the fact he's not dead

This is unconscionable and no one should accept it
Teens calling Idaho's suicide hotline are being told they can't proceed with the conversation without parental consent. Many of the callers are then hanging up.

Idaho approved a strict parental consent law last year.

I do not believe in Hell, but if it is real, there is a special section reserved for anyone who attempts to comfort people lost to totally preventable and senseless murder with this bullshit.
Fox News' Trey Gowdy: "The only thing that can give us any modicum of peace at all is those two children are with the person who loved them the very most, the person who created them, that being Jesus. That is the only thing that can possibly give parents in the future any modicum of peace."

I am sounding the alarm on the real crisis we face today.

Donald Trump’s overreach is what our founders warned against – it is unprecedented, unwarranted, and un-American.

There’s no emergency here that calls for military intervention.
