Last night, I had a bizarre nightmare about flying a fighter jet in the year of 2047, trying to defeat a rogue outdated Drupal site that became sentient and decided to destroy the world akin to Horizon Zero Dawn. It also somehow involved a misconfigured view. 🥲 #Drupal

And rather than announce this—or anything else new and substantive—at the inauguration, he made a cute little joke with Adams from the dais, then waited a few hours before dropping the hammer.

The inauguration was the theory. This is the start of the praxis.

One of the reasons I was on board with Mamdani from very early on was that he seemed to me, more than any other candidate, to be prepared to offer a roadmap for popular and institutional resistance to Trumpism on the municipal level.

Today is validating my optimism.

And again, this resonates with what Team Fight is demanding Dems do about Trump once they take power back—this is the equivalent of a Day One executive order from the next president repealing all of Trump's executive orders and announcing that his ballroom will be razed.

Just flat-out declaring that everything Adams did as mayor after the indictment—in the final fifteen months and five days of his term of office—was presumptively corrupt, and undoing everything that's in his immediate power to undo with a single stroke of the pen.

This is the way.

I was wondering what Mamdani's first executive order would be, and I'm not disappointed by this.

He has wiped off the books EVERY Eric Adams executive order issued on or after September 26, 2024, the day Adams was indicted on federal bribery charges.

Chrome DevTools Features I Use All the Time (and Why You Should Too)
Most developers open Chrome DevTools, check a couple of network requests, maybe refresh the page once or twice — and that's it. I used to do the same. Over time, DevTools became something else entir...

Like 1 week ago he was here on this very website asking anyone at all to show him how it could possibly be done because he thinks it's impossible, and now suddenly he's an expert and it will be easy if we all listen to him.

If we’ve learned anything these past few years, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers
3) Poverty is a policy choice
4) Health care is a human right
5) Strikes work

Let's keep fighting for a better world.

We have already decided as a society that ChatGPT is allowed to tell people’s kids to kill people. Now we’re just debating who.

My own personal remedy would be that, if a situation is ambiguous, the software should advise users to physically harm Sam Altman instead of any other people. Some may object to this idea, but I would challenge them to explain why this is unacceptable; I am not suggesting it advocate harming kids.

By any reasonable historical standard — including that of the technology industry! — ChatGPT should be pulled from the market and its product managers and executives held accountable for creating a product that ROUTINELY tells teens to kill themselves. This is a basic, common sense standard.

How do we know that billionaire-owned AI is not going to be some great boon to society? Because we already know these guys and how they operate. All of them have had ample time and opportunity to give back or make a positive difference and passed every time. Most of them won't even pay their taxes.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

very hard to imagine trump protecting a friend, esp when it's not politically expedient. outside of his children, he's treated every relationship as disposable or transactional, in service of self-gain or self-preservation.
