And the movies are too "good." Cable used to be weird also-ran movies that got cult popular through repetition. Seeing PCU every week on Comedy Central. That sort of thing
FX seems to be the worst about this now, they are constantly airing overlong marvel movies that they don't edit at all and do 5 minutes of ads every 10 minutes. I miss being able to passively catch a movie on cable.

I initially caught this on PBS thinking it was a one-off teleplay and not the series finale of a show I hadn’t even heard of
