Oh, I wouldn't recommend it.
Just had a horrible thought that Trump dies in the first few months of 2026, Vance takes over and because Americans are the dumbest fucking people on Earth the midterms swing Republican because they claim the problem is solved.

Absolutely wild that what used to be a pretty normal political victory message ("I will govern for all of my constituents") has now become a thrilling litany of hope.

Case in point, heres a ( very nice ) rejection letter i got from Marvel some 32 years ago.
It would be another 14 years until i was a published comic artist and another 9 before I was published by Marvel themselves.
So never give up. 2026 might your year.

On a recommendation, I watched all of Arcane.
Season 1 is incredible. Animation like nothing else. Visually stunning setting. Characters drive the plot. Choices have consequences. A brilliant dynamic of conflict between sisters mirroring a larger conflict of the two powers.
Season 2 is a fart.

I flipped over to The Nighmare Realm to see the full thread, and what really strikes me is how McArdle frames this as "moral shaming". It's so emblematic of American Liberal values - they're still operating in this "both sides" realm that never existed. That Trump is a natural reaction to "shaming."
This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.
