When I was 17, my glasses broke.
I have Mr. Magoo, coke-bottle-bottoms bad eyesight. The glasses I had were wire rim frames that had lost both screws and were held together at the temples with jewelry wire. The lenses were years out of date.

I’m not proud of not having used ChatGPT or whatever bc it’s … easy not to use it. Choosing not to use it has no impact on my day. Bc it’s not even good at the thing it’s supposed to be doing. It’d be like being proud of myself for not using a broken calculator to do math.

I worked harder on this book than any before it. My ex-publisher then failed to pay me what they owed me for it & did their best to ruin its chances of survival. That robbed me of a year of my life & ruined my health.
