Hmmm... wonder what they'd do to someone who renounced the other citizenship and is now only a British citizen though not born here? YET my grandfather (on the only side I can trace) was from Swansea and in the RAF during WW2.

This is getting uglier and uglier. And it truly sucks that pointing to the US as a place *not* to mimic doesn’t seem to help because too many racist assholes here think that’s a Shangri La to aspire to.

I’ve been getting “Where are you from?” from randos the minute I open my mouth to insist grown men shouldn’t bike on the pavement & tell me to step into the street to let them pass. My color saves me some some abuse, and I’ve been considering learning an accent to “pass”, but even that’s not enough.

I mean, when I was a teenager I didn’t think I was a kid but still did dumb shit that I look back on now and want to save my younger self from bc I didn’t know any better and could’ve gotten into some serious harm. And THAT is why we protect kids whether they’re 5 or 15.

Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt has RUINED ME for non-salted dark chocolate. End of.
I can barely stand milk chocolate anymore, which sucks because the dark stuff is getting so expensive since it’s not been “watered down” to make up for the rising costs.
