The annual opportunity to post the only outdoor photo I took one WGW because I was so pissed off at norms in fancy dress. It is though isn't it?

My beloved keeps mentioning Blue Riband events happening at the Winter Olympics and I am so craving chocolate wafers. Can't even remember the last time I ate one - maybe last century even!

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.
Old: "It's been on already" and "I can't make £500 look exactly like £8K I'm afraid."
Current: "They're all here together, they never left, and I'm sorry but they aren't yours."
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"It's still there."
"Just under five feet."
"A lot of people think it was fired out of a cannon..."
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Sadly, not aliens."

Winter Olympics Triathlon should be that, creative snow person building, and making Snow Angels.
Snowball Fighting should be a winter Olympic sport.

In my distant past days of running a print dept, I didn't notice the paper stack slightly shifted on a run of election leaflets and clipped off a bit of the promoter details on a few dozen. Had no idea of the rules but still remember the rocket I got from my boss!
BREAKING 🚨: Reform have been caught potentially cheating in the up coming Gorton & Denton by election. Residents have received a letter from a 'local pensioner'.

There is no Reform Party branding on the letter

The hound watched the Team GB curling match on the telly with his dad earlier. Not saying it grabbed his attention but he's been flat out asleep ever since.

Just heard on the news - "He used his Cloak of Christianity to hide his abuse."
I've capitalised it the way I heard it and it's a reminder that not all people who wear capes are heroes.

This one was so much fun to do - it’s always a delight to chat to Rob, and it was great to take a detailed look at the history and haunting of this lovely old building - enjoy! #UncannyCommunity

Hear me tell you all about one of Milton Keynes' creepiest places, and then I am joined by @stephlay.bsky.social to tell us stories she's captured from those who experienced the inexplicable within the walls of York House.

Who wants another lovely found photo to break up the misery and dreariness? You do? Right then. This is a stunner, a corker. In fact I’d go so far as to say an absolute belter… and, I think I’ve worked out who she is.

The Epstein connection vis-a-vis Labour is, in a strange way, larger than Mandelson, because it illuminates the sordid transformation of public service in to a cynical stepping-stone to cushy private sector enrichment which defines New Labour and which they will cling to—with or without Mandelson.

A fucking typical Radio 2 ramble for a Saturday:
1. Josh Widdicombe was an unexpected delight covering Liza Tarbuck's show this evening. Old soul, music depth and quick to embrace the #FOTS.
2. Sophie Ellis-Bextor is sitting in for Gary for an Indie #Sot80s next week. Pre-record all over that.

Another day, another new CD - the 45th Anniversary* remaster of Gary Numan's Telekon, the last album of what he calls the 'machine' section of his career.
Honestly, it sounds fresh as a daisy and, more than ever, sits totally outside time. Marvellous!

A bit difficult listening to The Damned's new covers album that influenced them getting together, even on my new Denon smoll study hifi after two days of Sly & Robbie, because the production is all over the shop and a bit thin, but it's a diamond in the rough. I can see myself playing it a lot.

Jo Whiley just played the title track and it's a great version of The Korgis classic. 👍
PREORDER: 'Everyone's Gotta Learn Sometime' by Beck

Covers of classics from Daniel Johnston, Hank Williams, The Korgis, John Lennon, Elvis, and Caetano Veloso plus ‘Ramona’ from the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack.
