A decade since Bowie died. But my love burns as bright as ever. Here’s a wee piece I wrote at the time. Rest easy, Starman

Social media outrage, however justified, will not bring justice for the Minnesota murder and it will not stop it happening again.
The Trump administration will just lie, gaslight, double down, smear and ride it out.

Massive (peaceful) street protests and mid-term Republican obliteration is needed

This isn't self defence. It's murder.

Worth saying out loud: Foreign mass murdering criminals like Trump and Netanyahu are given state visits and welcomed with open arms while British citizens are jailed and criminalised for holding up placards protesting against genocide.

One of our finest photographers 🙏
Your last chance to see the Outsiders exhibition in its current form will be at Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow in April/May. That isn’t the end though as I’m developing a powerful new exhibition on homelessness, in collaboration with another photographer, which will be shown in Leeds in 2027.

Albeit for a very short time, it's like the UK had David Icke for a Prime Minister.
Dipped into ep.4 of the Liz Truss Show for no more than a minute (using mirror site that does not boost numbers or revenue yewtu.be/channel/UCpI...). Quite aside from the INSANITY of what she says, camera is focussed on background, not her, THROUGHOUT. And what's up with the candy cane on the books?

'I’ve been doing this job for a long time now, and Adolescence may well be the only genuinely perfect show I’ve watched in that entire time. No matter where you look, or how hard you scrutinise it, you are met with nothing but wall-to-wall excellence'

The 50 best TV shows of 2025: No 1 – Adolescence
An exceptional cast, astonishing directing and the talent discovery of the decade – not to mention a plot so of-the-moment it was discussed in parliament. This may actually have been perfect TV
