This isn't news to regular users of my online teletext viewer as it's been online for ages, but one of the channels has a service from this evening 40 years ago.
This was recovered from a VHS tape and every page painstakingly repaired and turned back into a packet stream

My good cassette deck stopped working properly and I don't think I can fix it. This actually is a 2025 problem, because when cassettes were popular the deck wouldn't be suffering from age-related problems.

One of my CD players always starts playing in time-elapsed mode and I have to find the tiny button on the remote to put it into the much more useful time-remaining mode every single time I want to play anything.
