There's a weirdly large amount of that type of music in Esperanto! I need to do more research into why at some point.

Somehow I don't think a group that calls its album "Subita Merdo" is going for the less rude option 😂

Their music isn't especially melodic, so I'm not sure how much they were thinking of « doctrine de la hauteur d’une note » lol

The French Wikipedia explains that the name of the band Piĉismo is a pun, with both meanings of the word. Sadly it doesn't cite any sources, so I don't know if it was intentional or not!

PIV 1970 has "pitĉo" for pitch. Bertilo Wennegren's Rokmuzika Terminaro lists both words as "EVITINDAJ" in capital letters 🤣

Mi serĉos pliajn informojn pri ĝi en aliaj tiamaj revuoj. Ne estas tre surprize ke ĝi perdiĝis - ankaŭ ne plu troveblas multaj gramofondiskoj el la sama epoko :(

The style is pretty much the same as other 1930s ads tbh. Eo magazines don't tend to have ads these days - the audience is too small to justify selling them, and the production cost is fully covered by the membership fees. La Brita Esperantisto is now twice a year, but it was monthly in the 1930s!
