Stephen Colbert is a threat to America whose show must be canceled, but the US is going to amplify and spread terrorist propaganda across the world?

Taxing rich people into oblivion is good for democracy. The revenue generated, while not sufficient for our purposes, is just a secondary benefit.

Canada had the advantage, but the U.S. were picking up play. This was not going to be the same as the prelims.

Some parents are going are doing this for themselves: sports, education, health, instead of helping their child. That’s selfishness
“If I knew this could be the outcome, I still wouldn't have given my son the vaccine.”

This was said by the mother of a child in South Carolina who has been hospitalized with measles encephalitis since January.

I tried out several sentences for this spot, but none could capture my thoughts.

Despite dying last month, Dilbert creator and pro-Trump pundit Scott Adams has been reimagined as an AI.

His family is not happy about it!

I know I got 13. It’s either Tom Mees, but he died in 96, or Bob Stevens, who someone mentioned and I have no recollection of.
Rich Eisen just showed this photo of SportsCenter anchors, we believe from 1997 ish.

Of the 14, how many of them can you name?

Many pro athletes say you need to play multiple sports at a young age to develop proper skills. Instead, we have these privatized setups forcing families to focus on one sport and go from there. The majority of the fault is capitalism but also parents thinking their kid(s) is a cash cow.
One of the things that personally drives me crazy in the U.S. is how youth sports/athletic activities went from a part of the public good (municipal leagues and fields! rec centers! public parks!) to a privatized, expensive, highly competitive, highly structured pursuit for wealthy kids’ résumés
NBC ran a piece where Mary Carrillo went to Norway to find out why they're so good at the Winter Olympics and i was yelling BECAUSE IT'S COLD THERE

then she went to a little tiny ski jump for kids and was like "it's free, equipment is provided, & they don't emphasize results"

and i was like.

At any rate, if you want to know how networks and traditional media have held back women’s sports, pick up a copy of The Fast Track: Inside the Surging Business of Women’s Sports. It tells you about the men and women who pushed for this coverage well before Caitlin Clark.

As I remember from the charts: people in the $1-10 million range have the most total income of the bracket. Only a few billionaires in states pay taxes. Issue is the billionaires keep foreign accounts or stock options. This is not a U.S. problem, it’s a global problem.

Look what you did, MLB. You gave ESPN a clear path for women sports.
ESPN to launch 'Women’s Sports Sundays'

Debuting this summer, it's a first of its kind weekly primetime franchise showcasing the best of women’s sports in premium windows

All I am asking of NBC is to focus on the women playing in the gold medal game. NOT talk about/show KCS’s husband or the men’s team. Maybe talk more about the PWHL.

USA v Canada women’s hockey is one of the greatest rivalries in sports. Period. Let’s celebrate it and the women on the ice today.

I don’t like this rematch for the U.S.
Because of tiebreakers the US get the 2 seed.

And a rematch with Switzerland.

Sweden v Canada in the other semifinal.
SHEEEEEEEESH
Team USA gets the last shot in there, BARELY — yellow closer to red by what appears to be inches — and THEY'RE GOING TO THE SEMIFINALS!

THAT DID NOT NEED TO BE SO STRESSFUL

The Swiss goalie pulled a Dominik Hasek
OT goal for Switzerland to win the bronze medal in hockey!!!

They were outshot 118 to 45, but outscored their opposition 4-3 and go home with a medal!

If Virginia redistricts, would at least be even in terms of gerrymandering battle

GOP can’t get enough seats out of TX and FL if there is even modest shift blue with Latinos

A more extreme shift would actually give Dems a net gain of seats

She has been very open, but also is a private person. Compared to Lindsey Vonn, who is out there dating Tiger and PK Subban and sadly for some, that’s what matters the most.
