When Evanston found out that Flock was breaking the terms of the contract, & was sharing data with other departments, that then shared the data with ICE, Evanston immediately put covers over the cameras & left them covered while they cancelled the contract & they were removed
Atlanta is assisting ICE and other federal law enforcement in abductions by giving them access to the city’s Flock traffic cameras.

Big challenge in Charlotte & Raleigh will be whether the local news media does its job. Here in Chicago the press—TV, radio, print, digital, independent, nearly all of them—has generally done very good work. People there need to do their best to not let the press be suckers or accomplices to DHS
