Since gamergate, I have have in the back of my mind what one might call ‘fascist recruiting tactics.’ Some of these could be called 1) unlock forbidden wishes, promise to satisfy them 2) use inequality to create envy + promise share of spoils 3) create belonging by promising ‘total acceptance.’

Make no mistake: they see all of us as the enemy and lose ZERO sleep over taking us down. They’re utterly convinced they’re in the right and firmly believe law enforcement is the persecuted minority under siege by violent, stupid civilians who just won’t listen. You cannot reason with them.

Democrats can and must make it clear there will be trials and anyone even somewhat associated with ICE will face them. Maybe give a quit-your-job deadline on appeasement and give people 72 hours. I don't know. But currently the plan is to let them murder us in the street and get away with it.
