One of the most painful things to watch is people on the left coming up with social justicey reasons why fast fashion is fine, actually. Like that poor/disabled people need to have access to 45 new outfits a month and nothing consumers do matters because "no ethical consumption under capitalism".

Reminds me of when Elon wasn't allowed into Berghain. People found that interesting, but can you blame them? Without paper gains, Musk is a sad, lonely man who can never really befriend anyone.

it's not that i ever doubted that being a barista was a skilled position, but my year-long effort to try to produce a half-decent latte at home has convinced me that a good barista is easily more skilled than virtually every c-suite executive on the planet
