Here: Streeting and Labour invest £10 million into manufacturing the “evidence” they need to legitimise their cruelty towards Trans+ youth

Elsewhere, in the real world: Scientists - yet again - prove that access to Trans healthcare, including HRT, dramatically benefits Trans+ young people
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

This is an explicitly biased foundation for a study that has the potential to cause trauma to participants. How is it ethical?
Even Hilary Cass - who disgracefully called parents terrified that their trans kids would take their own lives if they were denied healthcare "shroud wavers" - didn't go so far as to call for a ban on puberty blockers.

Nothing Wes Streeting says turns out to be true.

The most important part being the first part: A SOLUTION TO A PROBLEM THAT DOESNT EXIST.
This is so tiring and so pointless, especially for trans people.
To fix a problem that doesn't exist, British businesses now have to decide between getting sued by a local bigot funded by JK Rowling, or getting sued by a trans or GNC person and possibly ending up in front of the European Court of Human Rights. They must really love the Labour goverment right now.

i think if you want to have those disgusting LED headlights on your car, you should have to do a test where they blast you point blank with your own headlights and then you have 15 seconds to successfully complete some sort of vision-based task, and if you can't do it they push your car off a cliff

Encouraging the policing of public spaces based on appearance and gender stereotypes is no way for a human rights regulator to behave.

The EHRC’s proposed Code of Practice is a misogynist’s charter, and the government must reject it.

I am remembering a BBC correspondent who quit the BBC after transphobes changed his copy after he filed it, and without his permission.
The BBC, quite consciously, sets out to demean and belittle trans people. This is both morally contemptible and in breach of its Charter obligations. We've made it super easy for you to write to the BBC and tell it to stop.

Evidence suggests LGBTQ+ young people experience phone/internet use differently from cishet peers. Rather than much publicised harms, LGBTQ+ youth find this a double-edged sword - both positive community and support and discrimination. A one size fits all removal of access harms LGBTQ+ youth more.
Thinking about Brianna Ghey while reading this article on screen time and bullying. Labour are using her name to push for a crackdown on phone use among teens.

But this research indicates increased screen time does *not* correlate with increased bullying for trans kids - unlike their cis peers.
Developmental Effects of Screen Time on Gender Diverse Student’s Experiences of Bullying Victimization
