On January 6, 1980 #TheStranglers frontman #HughCornwell was sentenced to 8 weeks in prison & fined 300 pounds. He & rock promoter Paul Loasby were optimistic they'd receive a warning,a fine or perhaps a suspended jail sentence. Boy, were they wrong!
