I think general media piracy should only be a last resort (i.e. acquiring rare or out of print things) and that this actually nets long-term positive results in the long run. However, overall book piracy is among the most inexplicable due to how readily accessible books are for free via libraries.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Very funny that a corner of the internet is horrified by the decades’-long situationship of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, meanwhile I think it should have happened to me.

I think I’d rather kill Joe Rogan and frame Andy Dick for the murder.
If I had a time machine I'd change the course of history by visiting the set of News Radio, killing Andy Dick, and then framing Joe Rogan for the murder.

Not sure if Bret Easton Ellis is an obvious one.
Here’s a question: who is the artist with politics you disagree strongly with, whose politics *do* (in your view) influence their art, that you still think is talented and whose work you enjoy?

Went viral multiple times on Twitter multiple times in the last couple weeks. Inching towards a 100K likes for posting about age appropriate celebrity relationships. And I don’t like it (even if I’m fortunate that the reception is extremely uncontroversial)!
