Not unexpectedly, I ran into one of my usual problems halfway through the second game: I went away for the weekend and then never managed to pick up again what I was doing. I finally got back to it in late May and have completed a few games since, but have neglected making a new thread.
I have - once again - resolved to attempt to tackle (some of) my video game backlog accrued over the past 15 years or so. There's a non-zero chance that won't get too far, but for while it goes, I'm going to steal the idea of @melailurophile.bsky.social 's ongoing thread for her movies to track it.
2025 was almost the longest I've ever stuck with (more or less) consistently playing through & finishing games (just behind 2015, playing all of the "Mass Effect" and "God Of War" games), and the most games I've ever finished in a year, plus a few I dropped several hours in. New year, new thread....

you know this guy is a FOR REAL photographer because he's telling the story of his brutal, unconditional arrest by federal goons and can't help but slip in a gear review
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

If a photographer ever throws you their camera do what you can to save it, but keep special care of the memory card. That's the most important part. Equipment can be replaced.

#FossilFriday Graptolites are extremely useful as zonal fossils in the Ordovician and Silurian. Some look like pencil marks but better preserved examples, like this Monograptus priodon from the Wenlock of Scotland, resemble miniature saw blades.
