A big day for our beautiful boy Gizmo who is 10 today! It’s his first without dear Buddy who we miss so much and so today we celebrate the joy and love they have brought us from the minute we met them.

Buddy and Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cats as kittens sitting at the open door in the carrier which brought them home! They’re about 8-9 weeks old here and already much larger than most cats at that young age. In fact they may be bigger than some adult cats! Even here you can tell who is who by markings, floof and ear size…Gizmo is sitting upright on the left and Buddy is lying down behind him. The familiar white chest coats and snow dipped paws of both are already on display! Long time fans of Buddy and Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cats know this classic well! They are about 14 weeks old here and enjoying life in their forever home. They’re lying down together on a pine wood floor leaning against the bottom step of the house stairs. Both cats are looking right off camera. Gizmo is on the left and Buddy is on the right. Gizmo’s ears are already pointing for the sky with their orange tips and Buddy’s have the same tips but are set wider than his brother’s. Their coats are floofing up nicely! Another classic of the boys posing on their cream coloured cat tree. Buddy is on a plinth above Gizmo but set to the right of his brother’s head. Both are looking towards the camera - Gizmo has greener eyes than Buddy who has more golden coloured eyes. Their gorgeous orange floof is lit beautifully by the sunlight, giving them an almost angelic glow. Both boys look like proud handsome lions. It’s the birthday boy Gizmo on his 10th birthday! He’s sitting on top of his cream cat tree looking towards the camera with the back garden visible. His white chest coat sweeps down his front and his warm orange fur looks soft and luscious.

An up close head shot of Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cat lounging in magnificent form! His long white whiskers can be seen in great detail here both from his muzzle and above his eyes. We also get a really good look at his large ears which are lined with light coloured fur and topped by amazing flamed orange tips. This close we can see the individual hairs! Gizmo’s orange fur has a soft glow in this light and again as we’re so close you can make out tiny details in the fur - even the direction it takes across his head!

Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cat is in the loaf position (front paws tucked out of sight under his sweeping white chest fur) looking at the camera with intense green eyes. His orange coat has a warm glow and the dark tabby stripes which run vertically between his ears to the top of his eyes on his forehead are standing out - they almost form the letter M which is a handy identifier for Maine Coon! Gizmo’s pointy ears are standing to attention as always with their orange tips looking almost like flames as they flicker off the top.

He’s got his head at the top then his body curves round towards his tail which points out bottom left. He’s holding his front snow dipped paws out too. Gizmo’s floofy tummy is exposed from a side angle and is a lush forest of light cream/orange floof! Long enough to lose your hand in and soft enough to sleep on! Screen shot of the actual fossil scene in Jurassic Park. A bunch of dinosaur scientists are in the Montana wilds uncovering a velociraptor skeleton they’ve found in the ground. Title on screen says “Badlands, Near Snakewater, Montana” in white lettering. Some of the dino discoverers have hats on.

Buddy is lying in a black cat bed (technically it’s a dog bed, big cats need big beds!) with a bright red lining and Gizmo is sitting on a dark wood floor to the right hand side. Buddy is looking at the camera and Gizmo is casting a glance towards the bed as if he wants to be in there as well! But with Buddy’s floof, massive bushy tail and toy cuddly beaver in the bed there’s not much room for a Gizmo! Which Buddy is probably quite happy about as Gizmo tended to step on him while trying to get comfy and it could sometimes turn a bit fighty as siblings of all species often do when they annoy each other!

A back paw of Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cat! The paw is large and much more snow dipped than the front paws. There is also sweeping white floof extending out from the paw which is part of the Maine Coon design to help them pad across the snowy wilds of Maine! Hidden in the heart of the snow are two pink toe beans which are as pink as the day he was born thanks to the life of an indoor cat! A small portion of orange floof is on the right as the paw points left. The rest of Gizmo is unseen as he relaxes on mum (also unseen) wearing her cosy black hoodie!

Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cat is standing tall with his latest conquest - a cardboard box! The box has the top lids open but that’s where Gizmo has stopped the opening. He’s got his front two snow dipped paws pressed on the inner sections and is standing upright from there. His unseen back legs are on the brown couch in the background of the picture so it’s a good look at how tall he actually is! And with his height on display we can see how his coat changes colour from the lighter orange at his neck and shoulders becoming a darker orange ring before changing back to regular orange. And there’s his familiar white chest coat which is fully visible as it cascades from under his chin to meet just above his legs. Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cat is lying on his back with his floofy belly exposed ready for rubs! Cats aren’t supposed to like that but he’s always keen to flip over and be tickled! He’s lying on a grey/silver/white rug and his head is at the top of the picture - his front snow dipped paws are pulled into his chest and his head is tilted to the left. There’s a slight curve from there as his soft lighter orange/cream belly floof takes over all the way down to his tail. His tail then changes direction and goes off to the left of the bottom of the picture. The tail is thick, long and floofy - mainly orange but there’s a splash of white near the end. Which is about a foot and a half away from his floofy butt!

Gizmo the orange Maine Coon cat is giving us his very best lion impression as he lounges in his purple cat bed. He’s got a full roar going on and has his mouth wide open! His two top canine teeth are visible - they’re probably 2cm long and very sharp. If you would like a more accurate measurement feel free to come along and try yourself. No finger loss you incur will be deemed the fault of management 😹😹 He’s got a big pink tongue in the bottom part of his mouth and his bottom teeth are obscured. Gizmo has his front right leg extended out of the bed and his left snow dipped paw is resting on the edge of it. His eyes are closed mid-roar and his white chest coat is fluffed up, adding to the whole lion piece! He looks fiercesome but he’s a big softy!
