I'm bad at these intros, but I'm a middle-aged queer trans person who's spent years documenting my community through photography, I've been known to write a comic book or two, occasionally experiment with ceramics, and currently also work as a therapist for queer and trans folk in California.

it’s pretty insane to think about how the dumbest most violent pieces of shit in the country have been given the message that they can kill with impunity if they join this one government agency

My racist MAGA aunt is current in the hospital, on hospice care, delusional and angry while my father and her daughter two to navigate an end of life medical system fully gutted by the people she gleefully voted for. It's gutwrenching and heartbreaking in every possible way.

Your daily reminder that Gavin Newsom has always been a piece of crap even when he's pretending to do the right thing because he has a soul.

Gavin Newsom: "I agree with you."

I'm a reporter hoping to connect with LGBTQ+ people who are struggling with their healthcare costs right now; like folks enrolled in ACA plans whose premiums have sharply increased. Also glad to talk with uninsured folks.

Conde Naste forgetting to renew their copyright is maybe the first, but probably not the last, example of a corporation firing essential employees and then finding out why those people had jobs in the first place. Someone had that on their 'to do' list.

Not surprising, but insane to see how many people really believe that 'law enforcement' has the right to just kill you if they feel like it.

Abolish and prosecute ICE. They did a murder in broad daylight today. Imagine what they're doing in the closed facilities we're somehow not even allowed to see.

The simple truth is that we cannot unilaterally trust any governing organization, including the licensing boards, unfortunately. That doesn't mean we should still work towards licensure, and I'll personally only ever go to a licensed clinician as a client when seeing a therapist.

I've honestly been waiting for this to happen, the goal has always been for these anti-trans conservative 'values' folk to get into spaces like accrediting organizations to push their biases and unscientific agendas.

I just reduced background noise, chopped the 14 minutes into 3 minute segments each compressed under 100 mb for bsky's limits, cropped and rotated a few degrees for easier viewing on here
