I read the Trump-backed voter suppression bill, the so-called “Save America Act,” so you don’t have to. Here’s my summary. Please tell your Senators to vote NO on this abomination: 202-224-3121. TY. 1/

another guy who never protested before radicalized to the point of tears by watching masked ICE agents terrify children in his neighborhood

the Republicans are not ready or mentally capable of comprehending the backlash they have generated
Yesterday morning kids were sent running from their bus stop in panic because ICE showed up. This guy at today’s ICE Out of Lindenwold protest is a must watch 😭. @maddow.bsky.social

An ICE agent just got arrested for child sex trafficking.

As if protecting pedophiles wasn’t enough, Donald Trump is also hiring them (with your money).

These are the people who the government is paying to put on masks and throw people in vans without identifying themselves.
Bloomington police announce arrests in sex trafficking bust: "Rashad Johnson out of Maple Grove. This is the most disturbing arrest that we've had here. He is a backgrounder for ICE, Homeland Security, and federal agencies."

I wonder if Navarro learned this from his favorite expert, Ron Varra?
Peter Navarro: "The jobs report comes out tomorrow. We have to revise our expectations down significantly for what a monthly job number should look like ... Wall Street has to adjust for the fact that we're deporting millions of illegals out of the job market."

It occurs to me that being a billionaire must be an awful lot like having EVERY conversation with ChatGPT: Everything you say is a pearl of extraordinary insight, until you lose all realistic sense of your own capabilities.
This really is a very good piece. I think quite a lot lies behind it. First that the *actual* education of the likes of Musk etc is very superficial. Just enough Western Civ classes at elite universities for them to persuade themselves that they are talented intellects without any deep study.
One lesson of the Epstein emails is the total intellectual vacuousness of the international business elite

ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

ICE has grabbed so many people from their vehicles that there are abandoned cars across Minnesota.

This tow truck driver returns the cars for free as a public service, and he’s been getting death threats.

They hate the helpers.

Which is why must keep helping.

Juan Leon sends a "chase" car to check out where abandoned vehicles are located and arranges discreet drop-offs. Since late December, he estimated they have dropped off 250 cars.

They tried to warn us about Trump? Gosh, then I bet they all voted for Harris in 2024, right? right?

Huh. Well whadya know. Three out of 25 voted for Harris. Mangu-Ward didn’t vote at all.

She is protecting pedophiles, as well as herself with a chance at getting pardoned when Trump is on his way out of office. Of course that pardon is conditioned on staying quiet about what she knows.
After months of defying our subpoena, Ghislaine Maxwell finally appeared before our Committee and said nothing. Who is she protecting? We are going to end this White House coverup.

Some of the points the editorial makes aren’t bad — a neverending cycle of tit for tat gerrymandering is bad for everybody — but it’s hard to credibly make that point when you dismissed it as a nothing burger until the other party started retaliating.
