You may know me as "Bronze Age Star Wars" on Twitter. Now join me on Bluesky for some nostalgic fun as I play through the Lone Wolf gamebook series and the World of Lone Wolf spinoff!
Looks like Captain America got up to some pretty wacky time travel shenanigans while returning the Infinity Stones
In 1999, Chris Evans was a model for Hasbro's Mystery Date board game.

When anyone from SCTV dies it’s like 30 people have died. Every character they created was as alive as anyone else you’ve ever met.

I’ve seen STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE more than 150 times. Last night, while rewatching it yet again with my eldest son, I caught something that has changed forever how I’ll experience a single scene in it…and broke my heart as a father. Let me explain.

Louis CK. I was a huge fan and went to the taping of one of his Netflix specials.
Question for the Skyline: What was your HARDEST "cancel"?? Like the actor/singer/athlete that was the hardest to drop.

I feel like it's always people I don't fw getting canceled so it's never really a loss.

The hardest one was maybe TI because I actually liked multiple albums by him.

Brunswick stew is an Appalachian dish traditionally made to use up the last of the summer veg (corn, tomato, okra) when the weather starts getting cooler. My mom would make it in winter using mostly canned and frozen ingredients, and during cold weather I still make it using her recipe.

Fantasy author and RPG writer Jean Rabe has passed away. She was known for her work at TSR and the RPGA, but she also worked on WEG’s Star Wars d6 RPG. In Galaxy Guide 12, Rabe wrote up several alien species including cover model Ephant Mon’s Chevin (with other aliens by @infinata.bsky.social).

Vague memories of watching this on PBS as a kid (when probably would have been way over my head), but I'm aware that its reputation has grown in recent years.

Or when it's raining.

Or when backing out of the driveway.

Or when making a left turn against oncoming traffic.
You know you're getting old when you have to turn your music down to park your car.

The militia is made up of a lot of disgruntled veterans, and it's clear that the Joes who infiltrate the militia are, to a degree, sympathetic toward the incipient Cobra recruits who share their background. All this in a comic that was supposed to sell toys to kids.
Issue 4 of Larry Hama's Marvel run, way back in 1982, established that there was a militia-to-Cobra pipeline well before anti-government militias were on the radar of most Americans. At the end of the story, the militia commander bad guy is killed, not by the Joes, but by his own wife.

This picture spoils that the climax of the episode is a Tic Tac Toe match on the side of Paul Giamatti's head

I've always heard good things about this EU trilogy, so I told myself I'd pick up a copy of the omnibus edition if I ever spotted it in the wild, and that happened today.
