You may know me as "Bronze Age Star Wars" on Twitter. Now join me on Bluesky for some nostalgic fun as I play through the Lone Wolf gamebook series and the World of Lone Wolf spinoff!
I was able to find a pic of the full spread at the end of the 1995 Mos Eisley Cantina Pop-Up Book, but was unaware that there was a character guide underneath. Always happy to discover new weird little guys!

Can @infinata.bsky.social (or anyone else) figure out if these characters were ever given names in an official source or did Wookieepedia editors just invent them out of whole cloth?

The final page of the 1995 Mos Eisley Cantina Pop-Up Book shows a lightfight between two characters identified on @wookofficial.bsky.social as Rff Huff (left) and Purong (right), although neither character is actually named in the book and the articles cite no other sources to ID them.

The comedy club where I work concessions just opened up a food pantry for people losing SNAP benefits and, surprisingly or not, people are bitching about it on Facebook. And, surprisingly or not, the Facebook profiles of the people bitching about it are full of Donald Trump and/or Jesus.

My favorite NTT storyline was when Starfire went back to Tamaran and joined the elite Tamaranian strike force code named C'rry Powd'r
Really? Koriand'r's sister is called Commander Komand'r? Why not Kum'n? Or Parsl'y? 🤔

Like I said earlier today: his covers made Star Wars books look every bit as epic as the movies themselves.

The great Drew Struzan has died. In addition to movie posters, he also provided covers for dozens of Star Wars books, making each of them look as epic as the movies themselves. I have no doubt that his artwork helped bring many new fans into the saga. R.I.P.

It’s wild that the best voice actor to ever play the Joker had “Arkham” in the middle of his name … and that I have not noticed this for decades …
How … funny …

I recently watched the O'Bannon/Carpenter joint "Dark Star," available on numerous free streaming services. Space explorers as working-class schlubs who barely grasp what they're doing and why. You can see the genesis of the entire "Alien" franchise in it.
