I was able to find a pic of the full spread at the end of the 1995 Mos Eisley Cantina Pop-Up Book, but was unaware that there was a character guide underneath. Always happy to discover new weird little guys!

The comedy club where I work concessions just opened up a food pantry for people losing SNAP benefits and, surprisingly or not, people are bitching about it on Facebook. And, surprisingly or not, the Facebook profiles of the people bitching about it are full of Donald Trump and/or Jesus.

The great Drew Struzan has died. In addition to movie posters, he also provided covers for dozens of Star Wars books, making each of them look as epic as the movies themselves. I have no doubt that his artwork helped bring many new fans into the saga. R.I.P.

I recently watched the O'Bannon/Carpenter joint "Dark Star," available on numerous free streaming services. Space explorers as working-class schlubs who barely grasp what they're doing and why. You can see the genesis of the entire "Alien" franchise in it.

I think this was the first comic I owned multiple copies of, because they gave away so many of them at my school.
